personalized and flexible education for K-12 students, and are 100 % compliant with Iowa education standards. CCSD would receive the cost per pupil amount from the State of Iowa, and Open Ed would invoice CCSD a set amount. Tutoring is offered for 1-1 and group settings, and they also offer 30+ club options. Students would participate in ISASP testing and grades integrated into the District’s student data system (JMC). The program is self-paced and students check in every week with a teacher. Student and family intervention will occur on an individualized and as-needed basis. They work with students with IEPs and 504s. Students fill out learning logs to verify they are working. Students are allowed to participate in two classes in their home district. Teachers would have Iowa teaching licenses. Currently, Open Ed is active in Oregon and Utah; they will expand to Kansas, Indiana, Alaska and Minnesota.
