Clarinda Community School District

 

A Work Session of the Board of Directors of Clarinda Community School District was held Wednesday, January 8, 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM in the McKinley Boardroom.

1. Call to Order
President Wyman called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

2. Pledge of Allegiance
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

3. Roll Call
The following Board members were present: President Wyman, Vice President Butt, Boysen, Hayes, and Honeyman.

4. Audience to Visitors
President Wyman welcomed all visitors to the meeting.

5. Approval of Agenda
A motion was made by Hayes, seconded Boysen, to approve the agenda. Motion carried 5-0. 

6. Presentation of Five-Year Projection with Piper Sandler
Travis Squires of Piper Sandler presented the District’s five-year projection. Discussion included budgets, expenses, revenues, and student enrollment. Different scenarios were
explored to see how enrollment and expenses affect the budget.

7. Discussion of Early Retirement
Mr. Privia discussed early retirement options including not offering this year or following last year’s package.

None

9.  Adjournment
A motion was made by Boysen, seconded by Honeyman, to adjourn the meeting at 7:40 p.m. Motion carried 5-0.
